The verso retains its original label reading “CEZANNE – Olympia – Estate of Louis E. Stern, New York,” suggesting an older exhibition or collector-associated art study dating to approximately the late 1940s to 1950s.

Mounted on board rather than appearing as a modern poster reproduction, the piece has wonderful depth, texture, and atmosphere in person. The exposed artwork measures approximately 9 by 8 inches within an overall 12 by 11 inch frame.

The frame is especially lovely with softly worn gilt finish, subtle oxidation in the crevices, and elegant narrow proportions that beautifully complement the muted palette and velvet mat. A sophisticated small-scale piece with authentic old-world character.
