The piece is distinguished by its warm honey-brown walnut veneers, refined proportions, and exceptional surface character acquired over nearly three centuries of use.

The upper section is fitted with an arrangement of small drawers surrounding a central cupboard door opening to a hidden interior compartment, a feature highly sought after in early English case furniture. Below are three long graduated drawers, all retaining beautifully figured walnut veneers with delicate line inlay and period brass hardware. The canted and fluted corners add architectural structure while softening the overall form, and the bracket base provides a grounded yet elegant silhouette.
