Crafted from solid oak with a beautifully aged dark brown patina, the crest rails showcase unusually ornate mythological carvings that are rarely seen in standard Eastlake furniture. The combination of dark wood, delicate spindle work, and natural cane gives the pair a collected European feel that would fit perfectly in a Gothic Revival, dark academia, English cottage, traditional, or farmhouse style home.

Likely dating from the late 19th to early 20th century, approximately 1890 to 1920.

These chairs would be beautiful as dining chairs, hallway seating, accent chairs, vanity chairs, or decorative statement pieces.

Condition:
Good antique condition with age appropriate wear and patina consistent with age and use. Minor finish wear and traces of old paint within some crevices and bottom of chair contribute to the antique character and history of the pieces (pictures included). The caning is in spectacular condition and chairs are structurally sturdy.
