Stunning in every way, this very large 20th century six panel screen is bound to be the focal point of any room its in. Unmistakably Art Deco in its design, this screen is hand-carved in three dimensional, geometric patterns, reminiscent of designs by Paul Feher.
Plain black lacquered back, flush base, unmarked. Each panel matches, with Dutch gold leaf applied to the recessed surface. Looking closely, one can see each individual sheet of gold leaf and visible leaf lines, all having been placed by hand.
Whether it is displayed flat against a wall, or scrunched to maximize the golden light refraction and used as a room divider-- this piece is one of a kind and a truly exceptional work of art.
