Likely dating to the late 19th or early 20th century, this dramatic architectural frame embodies the grandeur of European salon and château interiors.

The deeply carved surround and substantial scale make this an exceptional statement piece for artwork, mirrors, or decorative installation. Equally compelling displayed empty as sculptural wall décor, this frame would also lend itself beautifully to a custom foxed mirror, moody contemporary painting, or oversized portrait.

The frame retains significant age character, including natural patina, darkened gilding, craquelure, and visible wear consistent with age and use.
