Fortunato depero founded a fund in the province of trento in 1892 and is recognized as one of the greatest exponents of the so-called "second futurism". A futurist painter among the signatories of the aeropainting manifesto, depero was also a sculptor, designer, costume designer and advertiser. He worked as a marble worker but dedicated himself to the painting he loved so much and exhibited his first works in a bookshop in 1911 and 1913. In the meantime he wrote a book of poems entitled spezzature, with illustrations drawn by him. During a trip to rome to see an exhibition he met filippo tommaso marinetti and giacomo balla, two exponents of futurism whom he admired greatly. Having moved to the capital he became balla's pupil and began his experience and training as a futurist painter. In 1915, together with his teacher, he wrote the manifesto “futurist reconstruction of the universe” in which futurist abstractionists were recognized. Depero was a multifaceted artist who did not limit himself only to painting but practiced his art in various sectors. As regards painting, he first loved to make a series of sketches and then use poor and non-precious materials such as metal wire,cardboard, glass and tissue paper. His artistic research thus ranged across all sectors: starting from painting and moving on to sculpture, architecture and music. He was an eclectic character who during his working career tried his hand in various sectors, including advertising where he played the role of illustrator. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
