Made … Read more A handsome “Hither Hills Studio” dining host arm chair, made by Ralph Lauren Home in Theodore Alexander Tartan upholstery. Made in Italy the chair features a beech frame having a broad and gently rounded barrel-form back upholstered in a plaid fabric with a palette of black, charcoal, heather gray, cream, and red. The textile wraps around the backrest and continues over the arms, giving a tailored appearance while retaining an open and airy silhouette. The generously padded seat is finished in dramatic aged supple black leather, matching the dark ebonized beechwood frame. The seat is accented by rows of patinated brass tack nail-heads. The straight and tapering legs terminate in brass sabots, adding a refined accented and complementing the nailhead trim. The chair is executed in classical Ralph Lauren English country equestrian style in an open campaign-style form, creating a versatile piece functional as a dining host chair, desk chair, library chair, or occasional accent chair. Original Ralph Lauren order tag is present underneath. The chair is sturdy and solid having excellent joinery in exceptional condition as seen in photos. The piece was individually bench-made, and constructed by Italian artisans with the highest level of hand-craftsmanship then finished in the US by Theodore Alexander for Ralph Lauren Home.
