Each chair features a sculptural scalloped back, broad rounded arms, a deep box-form seat, and short wooden legs. The mustache shaped crest rail rises into a soft central arch with subtle stepped shoulders, moving downwards into broad rounded arms, and a low slung seat. The chairs are finished in a pebbled forest green toned leatherette lined by cream piping tracing the lines of the back, arms, seat, and apron. The chairs are finished with a rear jute muslin fabric panels secured with tacks. The design has a classic French profile with strong French Art Deco influence, and are well suited for use as library chairs, lounge chairs, club chairs, or accent chairs. The arms measure 24" tall. The chairs are heavy and sturdy with solid joinery and construction. The chairs have a desirable authentic aged patina as seen in photos. Sold as a pair. From an estate in San Francisco, CA.
