Conservation & Presentation Folio: The artwork has been recently removed from its original mid-century frame and meticulously housed in a custom, archival museum-grade conservation folio. This self-contained "sandwich" measures 24" x 36" and is constructed using premium, acid-free materials to ensure the drawing’s long-term preservation
Condition: The original mat perfectly protected the deeper blue tone of the paper beneath it, while the exposed areas show the natural, even aging typical of toned sheets from this period. There is no staining, and no acid migration. The sheet is clean, stable, and beautifully preserved.
Provenance: Acquired from a private seller in Las Vegas who had originally purchased the artwork at the Clark County Public Auction in 2024. According to the previous owner, the auctioned estate included several quality artworks and antique furnishings, including a small group of five or six pieces by Alexander Cañedo.
