Kent, England, … Read more A beautiful matched set of three framed watercolor prints by noted British-Bahamian artist David R. W. Hamilton-Jones (b. Kent, England, 1936), each signed and dated 1995. The prints depict iconic scenes of Harbour Island in the Bahamas — a harborside streetscape, a classic colonial veranda building, and a sweeping view of the turquoise shoreline — rendered in Hamilton-Jones's signature loose, luminous watercolor style.
Hamilton-Jones spent much of his life painting in the small island countries of the British Commonwealth, with a focus on the Bahamas and Caribbean. He held solo exhibitions for the National Trusts of Barbados and the Bahamas, exhibited across Canada and Fiji, and taught at the College of the Bahamas. His work is collected internationally.
All three prints are identically framed in gold leaf-style molding with pale blue double mats — ready to hang as a cohesive grouping. Condition is excellent. Original artist biography card included.
