The oval-ended top is composed of figured mahogany framed by a curly satinwood cross-banded border, separated by fine ebonized stringing. The satinwood exhibits a flame and ripple figure that shimmers in changing light.

The table extends across three sections to a commanding 134.75 inches, seating twelve to fourteen guests, and the two D-shaped ends may be used independently as a pair of demi-lune consoles, a hallmark of Regency versatility.
