Solid teak frame with pedestal legs and a frame; the legs are tapered and rounded; the backrest is curved; the seat is made of molded plywood, upholstered with new, high-quality foam, and screwed to the frame from below; with new, light gray upholstery.

Designer

The Danish industrial designer Erik Buch (pronounced Buck) was born in Copenhagen in 1923. His designs, in the Scandinavian Modern style, are characterized by an organic and functional aesthetic and include chairs, stools, and cabinets. Like many of his Danish contemporaries, Buch combined fabric and leather with materials featuring beautiful wood grain, such as sanded teak, oak, and rosewood.
