The proportions between the solid top and the compact cylindrical legs are balanced; the wood grain is revealed as a continuous texture through the dark finish. Design Context: The object is formally reduced to a few basic geometric elements: a circular top with a slight overhang and three identical cylinders as supports. The uniform black treatment of all parts visually unifies the volume and prevents fragmentation of the form. The low height of 33 cm places the table close to the floor and reduces its spatial presence to a horizontal plane. In contrast to historical pieces with profiled or turned legs, the smooth cylinders have a calming effect without diminishing the weight of the space.
