One says: "The duck eats … Read more These are a pair of wonderful humorous illustrations created for restaurant menu covers in Paris. One says: "The duck eats the slugs" in French (ca 1922, 17.5"x12.5"). The other says: "Never drink the water" in French (ca. 1926, 12.5"x17.5"). Both have title, editor, date, and artist signature printed on lithographs. The artist was George Redon (1869-1943). The editor was Le Caplain & Cie of Paris. Paper is a heavy & high quality material. Wonderful conversation pieces for home or commercial places. See less
