The serene face features elongated down cast eyes, long ear lobes, and shell or snail curls under the ushnisha.
Nicely patinated throughout, and smooth to the touch.
Mounted on a museum quality wood base, and iron armature rod.
A couple of very small toothpick size holes amongst the hair that allowed 'gas' to escape during the lost wax method casting process. This is normal. This piece bears all the signs of a genuine, traditionally cast item.
Estimated early to mid 20th. Century.
Traces of clay remnants.
A spiritual piece, as well as a lovely decorative for either a modern or traditional setting.
