Each antique chair is built of solid walnut and stands on richly carved cabriole legs joined by classic “os de mouton” stretchers, a hallmark of Louis XIV furniture design inspired by the curved shape of a lamb’s leg. The sculptural stretcher system adds both strength and decorative movement to the silhouette.
The tall arched backs and generously padded seats are upholstered in beautifully aged cognac leather secured with large patinated brass nailhead trim. The leather has developed a warm, lived-in character over time with subtle tonal variations and natural patina that enhance the authenticity and charm of the ensemble.
