Of rounded oval form, the case features an oval … Read more Antique 20th century edwardian solid silver vesta case with enamel detailing. Of rounded oval form, the case features an oval enamel portrait of a german shepherd against a light-coloured ground. The underside is fitted with a grooved striker for lighting matches. A small ring is attached beneath the lid, allowing the case to be worn or secured to prevent loss. Hallmarked english silver (925 standard), chester, year 1903 (c), maker's mark r.b.s (rolason brothers).
