Each ends of the four corners are made of turned wood, as were the earlier models vs later models with cut diagonal endings

Bamboo was a relatively unknown product and not grown naturally in Europe at the time. Hence, furniture makers were inspired to create a "faux" bamboo look, which was used in the late 19th - early 20th centuries, and was a very popular way to make furniture and other products.

Piece is in overall good, original and vintage condition with some marks, signs of age and previous use commensurate with time, as well as a patina of age, wax and time, on the overall structure, frame and mirror (see photos), as can be expected for a piece of this age. Some light old marks and signs of age on some areas of the mirror, (see photos), but no cracks or chips. A few old marks of woodworm but the piece has been treated.

- The back of the mirror ( chassis) is original and carry an imprinted stamp with mirror measurement)
- There are the original chain with a central eye hooks to enable one to hook it onto a wall.
