Vintage mid century modern teak four drawer dresser / commode by architect Ib Kofod-Larsen, produced in Denmark by Brande Mobelfabrik in the 1960s.
The case rests atop a set of softly shaped legs with recessed pulls sculpted directly into the drawer faces. Afromosia wood trim provides contrast with the warm tones of the teak surfaces, a visual punctuation that doesn’t compromise the minimalist aesthetic.
This piece has been professionally refinished and shows beautifully, with few signs of its sixty year history. The original Danish Furnituremakers quality control placard remains affixed to the inside of the top drawer. A faded but visible manufacturer’s stamp remains intact on the underside. Overall this piece is in excellent, ready to use condition.
