I absolutely love this Italian ceramic figurine! It is an imposing 16.5" tall, giving it an immediate presence wherever it is displayed. The handpainted details and colors are delightful! Based on the markings on the bottom, I would estimate that this piece was produced in the 1950's in Italy. The only flaw that I discovered is in the lotus blossom that she is holding in her hand, which has a few petals missing. I didn't even notice this until I examined picture 6 in a large format before resizing it. The rest of the figurine is in good condition.
I photographed this figurine outside on a sunny afternoon in May, giving the gold details a wonderful sparkle. It will invariably look different when viewed in an interior setting under artificial light. Please take this into consideration when matching colors.
