A striking late 20th-century bronze figural staff sculpture executed in the unmistakable spirit of Alberto Giacometti, reducing the human form to its most essential and psychological elements. Cast as an elongated male head rising from a slender, staff-like shaft, the work evokes Giacometti’s postwar investigations into presence, isolation, and the existential condition while introducing the totemic force of ritual objects and ceremonial relics.

The attenuated visage—with its deeply recessed eyes, prominent nose, compressed mouth, and gaunt physiognomy—recalls Giacometti’s iconic portrait heads and standing figures, yet here the body is abstracted into a single vertical line, transforming the figure into something between sculpture, idol, and staff.
