A newly refinished pair of two drawer mid century modern nightstands in Brazilian rosewood and ebonized oak, designed by Robert Baron and produced by Glenn of California in the 1970s.
As with all pieces in this collection, Baron incorporated aluminum trim into both the aesthetic and function. Aluminum pulls line the drawer faces and meld into the decorative trim that hems in the rosewood tops. Ebonized oak siding picks up the black, cathedral grain patterns of the rosewood surfaces, lending a cohesiveness to the overall look.
The drawers on both nightstands function perfectly. All wooden surfaces have been refinished and show beautifully. The aluminum portions exhibit light, age-appropriate wear. Overall this pair is in excellent restored condition.
