The … Read more A sweet vintage original landscape oil painting by a Dallas artist, Steve Trower, who was prolific in the 1970s. The Richardson Public Library has a couple of his pieces in their collection, and he exhibited in several galleries in the area during the time.

Titled, "Side Lights," the soft detail and color makes for a very pleasing aesthetic. Custom framed in a worn, washed wood frame, linen mat, and sage green double mat, which all really allows the painting to shine. The oyster gray color of both mat, frame, and background of the painting really is warm and lovely. Trower was a master of lighting and the realism that was widely popular during the 1970s. The shadows and light play in this piece are really wonderful.

Signed in the bottom right by the artist, and it still has his original title and 1970s price on the back! (With inflation factored in, that's close to $575 today!)
