This illuminated display cabinet by Hickory White Company came from the lobby of the DoubleTree by Hilton Rochester in Henrietta, NY, and was preserved during a recent renovation before disposal. This commercial and hospitality line is built with heavier construction, UL-listed electrical, and hardware made for daily public display.
The piece is substantial, has presence, and is architectural in person. I often get comments on its tall peaked crown with a circular medallion inset. The checker inlay banding makes it feel more built-in than a freestanding cabinet. Lots of glass, two full-height front doors and full-height side panels, combined with a full mirrored interior back panel gives it depth and visibility. The original built-in lighting is UL-listed, properly ventilated, and includes a working dimmer. Removable glass shelves feature a frosted trench detail designed for style and diffusing the light from above.
All original and unmodified. No chips, cracks, or damage to any glass or shelving. Minor surface wear on the back panel and very bottom.
