Mid 20th Century vintage oil painting of a rooster, rendered in a rich, naturalistic style against a moody dark background. The rooster is beautifully detailed, with luminous warm tones of golden orange and red contrasted by soft blue and ivory plumage. The painting is signed (appears to read “Furini” or similar), typical of mid-century European studio works.
It is housed in its original, substantial carved wood frame featuring intricate relief details and a dark, antiqued finish. The frame adds a strong Baroque/Spanish Revival presence, making this a stunning wall piece.
