The shell shape is continuously rounded; the coarsely woven upholstery fabric differentiates the surface and visually softens the solidity of the volume. Design context: Back, seat, and armrests flow seamlessly into one another; the form is conceived as a single, continuous volume. The open back cutout creates a defined negative space and generates a tension between enclosure and transparency. The four black metal legs are tapered and angled outwards – they form a material contrast to the soft shell shape. The light upholstery tone is neutral with regard to aged wood surfaces and dark furniture. Features: Fully upholstered shell body with open back cutout; Four tapered metal legs, black. Design: The body describes a continuous curve from the armrest, over the back, to the seat without any visible breaks.
