Education included graduating from Notre Dame High School class of 1931, a Bachelors from San Jose State University in 1935 & a Masters from Stanford in 1948. She held a lifetime, secondary teaching credential from the State of California. From 1950-1957 she earned 24 Studio units at San Jose State University; from 1956 to 1966 she took seminars and workshops with Alexander Nepote, John De Vincenzi, Willis Nelson, John Hunter and Richard Yip; in 1969 she earned 6 studio units at the University of the Americas in Mexico.
Collections of her work are exhibited in Stia, Italy, Phoenix, Arizona, the San Jose Museum of Art, De Saisset Gallery of Art at Santa Clara University, the City of Okayama, Japan, Pi Lambda Theta National Headquarters, Bloomingdale, Indiana, Standard Oil of Indiana in Chicago, Capital Fund of America in San Francisco and San Jose Hospital.
Fran was a teacher and counselor at San Jose High School for more than 40 years.
