Originally inspired by a discovered early 20th-century bespoke English steamer trunk, Timothy Oulton's workshop dismantled the original piece — measuring every hinge, removing every pin — and built this collection around it. The polished aluminum variant was further inspired by the gleaming fuselages of mid-century aircraft.
Construction: wood frame clad in polished aluminum panels with exposed steel screw detailing, aged solid wood trim with antiqued brass bracing, leather corner protectors, brass luggage latches, and canvas-lined drawers. The lightly distressed matte finish features intentional character marks — this is by design, not damage.
Dimensions: 64¼"W × 32¾"D × 31¼"H. Chair opening: 27½"W × 32¾"D × 24½"H. Five drawers total.
Condition: Excellent condition. Normal wear consistent with age and intentional distressing, small scratch mark on top panel of desk as well as some paint marks on the bottom left drawer panel. All drawers open and close smoothly. Brass latches function perfectly. See less
