The vase features alternating decorative panels, including a figural landscape scene with warriors on horseback, pine trees, mountains, and architectural elements, along with bold floral reserves set against a deep cobalt/navy ground with turquoise dot detailing.

The surface is embellished with raised moriage-style enamel work, gilt outlines, floral borders, and an overall crackle-glaze finish that gives the piece wonderful texture and age-appropriate character. The warm ivory ground, soft turquoise, pink, orange, green, navy, and gold tones make this a striking decorative accent for a console, mantel, bookcase, entry table, or collected chinoiserie/Japanese ceramics display.

Marked on the underside with a red “Satsuma” mark and “Made in Japan.” See less
