Coming from a private collection where they remained together for over a century, this set carries not only artistic and historical importance, but also the quiet reverence of objects treasured through generations.
Russian icons were created as sacred images for prayer, contemplation, and protection. In Orthodox tradition, they served as a spiritual presence within the home, chapel, or church, connecting daily life with faith, devotion, and divine intercession.
