The Modernist original oil painting on canvas panel board is painted by the artist Dave Milton in 1959 in the manner and " style of " the American master Realist artist Edward Hopper.

The New York street scene composition depicts figures walking on the sidewalk on 42nd Street looking north from the intersection at Fifth Avenue. The Midtown Manhattan view features iconic neighborhood storefront businesses including Modell's Sporting Goods, Adler Shoes, Loft Candy Shop, and Romeo's Spaghetti alongside a Yellow Checker taxi cab and a signature Fifth Avenue Coach Company bus. Painted in a gorgeous multicolor vintage palette, the Realist style artwork perfectly captures the mood and feel of the spirit of Mid Twentieth Century New York City Modern American life.

The rare vintage original one of a kind framed Modernist painting measures 17" W X 21" H X 1 1/4" D. It is hand signed and dated by the artist " Dave Milton 1959 " in the lower right front corner bottom.

It is custom framed in a Contemporary Modern black wood satin eggshell finish minimal profile museum box style floater frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.

It is in excellent condition. The painting is in excellent clean vintage condition consistent with age, light signs of handling, and some light minor wear.
