A striking French Louis XIV style polychromed and carved mirror, signed Niccolini and dating to the 20th Century. This substantial wall mirror features an elaborately sculpted wooden frame, characterized by deep relief carving with flowing scrollwork, acanthus leaves, and floral motifs. The frame exhibits a multi-layered finish, including a distressed antique gold or cream base, accented with vibrant polychrome detailing in shades of teal-green and muted red, enhancing its baroque and rococo influences.
