Absolutely lovely large silver plate trinket or jewelry box by Benedict Proctor, a Canadian silver company, est. 1913. This piece has a great rope gadrooning detail around the perimeter top and bottom, and a little scalloped bump out on the lid for ease of opening. It has a fully functioning hidden hinge. The top has an almost mirror-like finish to the silver, so beautiful! Perfectly ready to be engraved for a special gift.
We'd style this on a stack of books, as a jewelry box, or even as a very chic pen holder on your desk.
Marked "Old English Reproduction, B.P." on the bottom, with the Benedict Proctor Aladdin style oil lamp hallmark, and "E.P. on Copper, B.M. Mounts, 98, 77."
