The façade is framed by turned column supports mounted with gilt bronze capitals and bases, flanking two large paneled cabinet doors with original escutcheons and later keys. The walnut displays a rich honey-toned patina with beautiful figuring throughout, including striking bookmatched grain across the central stile and door panels. Classical Empire proportions, block-form feet, and restrained architectural detailing give the piece a strong and elegant presence. The interior opens to spacious shelved storage with two upper drawers added at a later date. The buffet works beautifully as a sideboard, server, console, or storage cabinet within both traditional and modern interiors. The underside and back retain early hand-crafted construction details consistent with the period.
