An exceptional find for the serious typographer or graphic design historian. This is a complete 1966 portfolio featuring 33 specimen pages of the wood type faces and ornaments from the Design Program at Indiana University.
Hand-pulled on a Vandercook Letterpress in the Spring of 1966, this collection was designed and printed by Gary Springer and Richard Warrum with the expert assistance of Rob Roy Kelly—the preeminent authority on American wood type.
Limited Edition: Number 23 of only 25 copies ever produced.
Provenance: From the distinguished collection of Roy and Sophie Sieber. Roy Sieber was a pioneering scholar, Smithsonian curator, and professor at Indiana University, and this portfolio represents the intersection of his academic circle and the IU Design Program in 1966.
