My mother bought in a showroom in HighPoint, North Carolina 20 years ago and has taken loving care of it, storing all her prized first editions in the cabinet to protect them from light. The piece is made from wood that is intentionally distressed to give it an old world, nearly medieval feeling. The details include the scalloped piece across the top and the custom stained glass in the doors. The long sleek legs are sturdy but allow room if you wanted to sit at the slightly sloped desk with a bar height chair. Just an awesome piece that works with so many decor styles. See less
