Model "232" oak sideboard with hinged doors and brass handles. Designed by børge mogensen and produced by fdb, denmark, 1964.
model "232" sideboard designed by børge mogensen for fdb in 1964 and produced by c.m. Madsen, as indicated by the stamp inside. Made of oak veneer, it features a front with two hinged doors with brass locks and hardware. The interior is organized with shelves and pull-out drawers, following a functional logic typical of mogensen's work. This piece was created within the fdb, a danish cooperative that developed projects and outsourced their production to specialized manufacturers; in this case, the production was entrusted to c.m. Madsen, who was responsible for the construction. The drawers feature dovetail joints, highlighting the quality of the work. Good condition. May show signs of age.
