A striking and highly decorative graduated set of vintage Indian brass merchant measuring vessels produced by Hakamchand of Poona (now Pune), India.
This impressive collection features traditional “seer” measurements alongside litre markings, reflecting India’s historic transition from imperial trade measures to the metric system during the mid-20th century.
Crafted from solid brass with riveted handles, the set has developed a rich aged patina with beautiful signs of authentic use and age.
The oversized proportions make these pieces particularly sculptural and visually impactful.
The largest measure stands approximately 40 cm tall, giving the set exceptional presence for display in kitchens, restaurants, bars, retail interiors, farmhouse settings, or industrial-inspired spaces.
