This exquisite vase represents an excellent example of the high-quality Murano glass craftsmanship of the late twentieth century, renowned for its ongoing technical and aesthetic experimentation.

Subject and Style: The design develops into a slender and sinuous teardrop shape. The composition begins with a spherical base that gradually narrows into a long, thin tubular neck, culminating in an elegant diagonally cut "flute beak" opening.

Material and Finish: The piece is masterfully hand-blown from fine Murano glass. The exterior surface boasts the complex and sophisticated "vetro scavo" (glass carving) process, giving the material a matte, rough, and textured appearance. The aesthetic is enhanced by a spectacular color transition: from the mottled ice white of the neck to an intense and deep shade of azure/blue at the bottom, enriched by a dense white dust embedded in the glass.
