This … Read more Rare maiorca e canarie desk set, designed in 1958 by italian designer bruno munari for the manufacturer danese milano. This design is among the iconic office accessories of post-war italian modernist design and exemplifies munari's playful yet functional design language. The set consists of three cubic melamine modules with removable inserts made of anodized aluminum. The individual elements serve different functions on the desk – for example, as pen holders, paper clip trays, organizers for small items, and ashtrays. Thanks to the modular design, the cubes can be flexibly combined or used separately. The strict geometric design language is characteristic: clear, cubic forms meet precisely placed aluminum components. This minimalist aesthetic and intelligent functionality are typical of the design philosophy of danese milano, whose objects are now represented in numerous international design collections and museums. The aluminum parts can be removed for cleaning. The embossed manufacturer's mark, danese milano – made in italy, is located on the underside.

condition: excellent vintage condition with no signs of wear, as it has never been used. Surfaces are clean and well-preserved, inserts are complete and functional. The original box and booklet are also included.
