This remarkable handcrafted ceramic piece features a sculptural rooster finial atop an elongated architectural form with richly textured glazed stoneware surfaces. The earthy tones, organic silhouette and expressive handmade character are highly representative of postwar French studio pottery.

Originally conceived as an architectural roof ornament (épi de faîtage), the piece today works beautifully as a standalone decorative sculpture within rustic modern, wabi-sabi, brutalist or Mediterranean interiors.

The rooster motif and textured glaze create a strong sculptural presence while preserving the authentic artisanal spirit of French ceramic production from the period.
