This refined sculptural vase with lid is a splendid example of the celebrated Italian ceramic tradition, blending romance and craftsmanship in a visually striking piece.

Subject and Style: The strongly Rococo-inspired design features sinuous forms, elaborate scrolled handles, and a finely lace-like neck. Enriching the composition are magnificent floral appliques modeled in the round (roses and delicate bluebells) painted in vibrant pastel shades.

Material and Finish: The piece is crafted entirely of fine glazed porcelain, with a pure white background enlivened by sand-colored/gold highlights that enhance the depth of the reliefs. The traditional Capodimonte trademark (the blue crowned "N") is clearly visible on the background, along with the serial number "1653" engraved in the paste.
