This large smoked glass wall mirror was produced in Italy in the 1960-70s.
A decoration of scrolls and volutes in the Rocaille style is applied to an oval brass frame. The upper section of the cresting projects slightly forward relative to the rest of the ornamentation—which itself stands proud of the mounting surface—creating a delightful interplay of shadows.
It remains in very good vintage condition, with normal brass oxidation due to its age, mostly located on the upper side of the mirror.
