Iconic pair of lc7 swivel chairs, designed by charlotte perriand in 1927.
originally she designed the chairs for her own apartment in paris. In 1928 it was for the first time exhibited at the salon des artistes décorateurs. One year later it was also shown at the salon d’automne, where it was part of a collection that charlotte perriand co-created with le corbusier and pierre jeanneret.
this pair was made by cassina, that started the production of these chairs in 1978 as part of the lc collection. The chairs are marked and numbered: 26451 and 26828.
the chairs have a chrome plated steed frame and still the original cream fabric upholstery with black piping at the sides.
a true classic and timeless statement of modern design.
the chairs are in good original condition. The frames are excellent. One chair has some minor wear on an armrest. The other chair has two minimal stains at the seat. Furthermore the fabric is still very good. This piece has an attribution mark,
