The bureau has a drop front with two metal extendable brackets. When the bureau front is opened the brackets extend the two square supports underneath to help hold the desk front.
The drop front can be opened, exposing the gorgeous red leather embossed writing desk.

The interior has 5 pigeon holes, with a small central drawer that sits above a horizontal pigeon hole. These are perfect for storing documents or books.

The desk front comprises of a smaller upper drawer, and a larger lower graduating drawer. The drawers are all finished with striking metal drop handles. These drawers are great for storing linens, clothing or bedding.

There is no key present for locking the drop front or drawers, but the original locks are present.

Standing proudly on 4 solid, wonderful cabriole legs and pad feet.

The front of the bureau displays a beautiful, rich mahogany patination.

This handsome Vintage Writing Bureau would make a statement in many period styled home decors.

Overall, this Writing Bureau is in great condition, with slight signs of use and veneer wear to the top of the desk, from years of historical use (see photographs).
There is very minor bubbling occuring to the wood veneer on the right side of the bureau (see photograph)
There is one historical woodworm hole to the top of the bureau, and two holes to the leather desk top, which have been previously fully treated (see photographs).
