Antique Chinese Famille Rose Porcelain Table Lamp -Elephant Sleeve Vase Lamp.
An exceptional hand-painted antique Chinese export Famille Rose porcelain statement lamp base features vibrant Famille Rose peonies, dense floral scrolls, and hand-gilded accents in a rich palette of rose pinks, iron reds, and muted greens.
Originally potted during the Qing Dynasty as a classic sleeve vase form. Dating from the late 19th century to the early 20th century (Late Qing to Republic Period).
The Central Roundel: Features meticulously hand-enameled circular medallions depicting a classic auspicious scene: a boy riding a ceremonial elephant, a traditional symbol representing good fortune, peace, and strength (*Taiping Youxiang*). The slender neck is flanked by two hand-molded, unglazed biscuit or matte-gold elephant head handles with downward-turned trunks.
