A substantial pair of vintage Marion Bronze MB bookends depicting Moses, after Michelangelo’s iconic Renaissance sculpture. Each seated figure is beautifully detailed with a commanding classical presence, from the curled beard and draped robes to the tablet held at the side.
The finish has a rich aged bronze-tone surface with ivory-painted drapery and natural patina-like wear, giving the pair a collected, old-world library quality. These bookends are especially suited for a study, bookshelf, console, mantel, or interior design setting with classical, academic, religious, or European-inspired decor.
Both pieces are marked MB on the back of the base.
