A Henkel-Harris sideboard, retailed by Fallon & Hellen Inc. of Baltimore, presents a distinguished example of English Style Federal Revival furniture. Crafted from rich mahogany, this elegant piece features a serpentine front and stands on tapering legs terminating in classic spade feet. The sideboard is adorned with Satinwood banding and intricate inlay work, including oval fan inlays on the cabinet doors and delicate line inlays accentuating the legs. The brass hardware, visible on the two central drawers and cabinet doors, complements the warm tones of the mahogany. One of the central drawers is thoughtfully fitted with silver felt lining and dividers, ideal for organizing silverware or other fine articles. Bearing the "VIRGINIA GALLERIES FURNITURE BY HENKEL-HARRIS Winchester, Virginia" mark inside a drawer. The "FALLON & HELLEN INC. FURNITURE BALTIMORE" plaque further details its retail history.
