For sale is a stunning, matching pair of vintage Chinese Famille Rose porcelain temple/floor vases. Standing approximately two feet tall, these substantial statement pieces feature a vibrant, traditional palette of pink, emerald green, and iron-red enamels against a crisp white porcelain ground.
The main body of each vase is decorated with a classic auspicious motif: a pair of red-crowned cranes perched among blossoming peonies and plum blossoms. In Chinese culture, this imagery symbolizes longevity, prosperity, and peace. The necks and bases are trimmed with intricate geometric borders, and the front includes traditional faux scrollwork script (the character for "Good Fortune/Blessings").The underside of each vase features an iron-red geometric Qianlong seal mark, identifying them as high-quality decorative export wares from the late 20th century.
