CHANIN BUILDING
The Chanin Building was constructed in 1929 by Irwin Salmon Chanin. Through determination and hard work, Chanin rose from being the impoverished son of an immigrant family to becoming a successful architect and real estate developer. With the building that bears his name, he sought to express everything that New York City meant to him, and what it can represent for anyone willing to seize opportunities and pursue success.

For this reason, eight monumental reliefs were installed in the building’s lobby above ornate bronze grilles. Together, these works carry the theme 'New York, the City of Opportunity,' highlighting four mental attributes (vision, courage, enlightenment, achievement) and four physical attributes (activity, effort, endurance, success) that are essential for individuals striving for personal growth, accomplishment and succes.

Using all available photographs and historical references, this highly detailed reconstruction was created with exceptional precision.
